Sometimes in life, you get lucky. That’s just how things go. Like this morning when I opened up my DraftKings app expecting to see Carlos Hernandez starting for the Royals but instead the name Daniel Lynch was showing. The luck didn’t stop there, though–not by a long shot. When I saw his number, I almost died. I think we might be looking at the biggest MLB player prop mistake in the history of MLB player prop mistakes by a sportsbook–any book…not just DraftKings. This is like, WNBA All-Star Game total bad!
On top of this article, you should definitely check out our experts’ picks on all of the MLB action today. It’s just a smart thing to do. Also, bets can be added to the card, so why not follow me on Twitter in case we get some last-second action? Once lineups are announced for some of these games, there is a chance for opportunity to knock.
Daniel Lynch over 4.5 strikeouts (-130)
Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
As I mentioned, this line is at DraftKings. FanDuel and BetMGM have not posted anything yet, but I will be monitoring for when they do. A 5.5 number at plus money is likely to come from FanDuel. They like to juice up their MLB player props. If they do that today, we should play there too.
Lynch has figured somethings out. I don’t know if it’s because he’s spending so much time with Brad Keller or what but he’s learning. He’s now gone 4 straight starts with at least 5 strikeouts. His last 2 came against the Houston Astros, which is impressive. No team in MLB has struck out less than the Astros this season. They just don’t whiff. That’s not the case for Lynch’s opponent today.
Over the last week, only 1 team has struck out more than the Seattle Mariners. That team played an extra game. On the season, only one team has struck out more to left-handers than the Mariners. This is what I like to call a double whammy. Those are not good by the way. Seattle has victims up and down their lineup and if Cal Raleigh is in today, forget about it. Even if he’s not, Lynch could get this number the first time through the order. It’s time, people!
