Good numbers at fair prices. That’s all the people want. If you’re a sportsbook and you give us that, we’ll stay forever. That’s what happening again with my MLB player prop today at BetMGM. I can’t say enough good things about that book. Friday it was Brad Keller at +125. Today it’s Cal Quantrill at -105. The only hangup is that fact that this bet doesn’t start until 7:05pm ET. That’s tough on a Sunday but we’re battle tested. We can find some other stuff to bet on while we wait on this ace in the hole.

Cal Quantrill over 4.5 strikeouts (-105)

BetMGM came through again with a MLB player prop line we can all be proud of. The -105 is key here since DraftKings has the same one but for -110. That’s not the biggest difference in the world but still…-105 is better than -110. It’s math. We’re still waiting on FanDuel to release something so they could come in better, but I doubt it.
Canada’s own Cal Quantrill is set up like a boss tonight at 4.5 strikeouts. He’s done this in 4 of his last 5 starts. The lone exception being last time out against the Minnesota Twins when he was only able to whiff 4 guys. Not a big deal. In one of those starts, he sat 10 Detroit Tigers down like they were children. This kid can deal.
Tonight Quantrill will get my favorite team to target, the Los Angeles Angels. In their last 206 at bats, they have struck out 59 times. The strikeout rates on these guys over the last week is insane. We could see Brandon Marsh (50%), Justin Upton (44%), Max Stassi (43%), Juan Lagares (37%), Jo Adell (30%) and Shohei Ohtani (29%) all in the lineup tonight. This is literally a Murderers’ Row of strikeout guys. I think Quantrill goes over this number pretty easily.
This is my favorite way to attack the MLB player prop market on Sunday.
