I’ve been waiting for this day since last Thursday and we finally made it! It’s Triston McKenzie day! If you haven’t seen this kid pitch do yourself a favor and watch tonight when the Minnesota Twins visit the Cleveland Indians at 6:40pm ET. He’s electric. The books are in a weird spot with him tonight since he is only one start removed from a stint on the IL. We should pounce on this MLB player prop.
On top of this article, you should definitely check out our experts’ picks on all of the MLB action today. It’s just a smart thing to do. Also, bets can be added to the card, so why not follow me on Twitter in case we get some last-second action? Once lineups are announced for some of these games, there is a chance for opportunity to knock.
Triston McKenzie over 5.5 strikeouts (-125)
Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
We’ve got MLB player prop choices today, people. We could go 5.5 -125 at DraftKings or we could go 5.5 -130 at BetMGM. That one is easy but FanDuel kind of threw a wrench because they are offering 6.5 +126. I will respect whichever way you decide to go but I’m going 5.5 -125 at DraftKings. (Just know that I respect the people going 6.5 at FanDuel a little more).
Triston McKenzie was always going to be a strikeout kid. He is highly likely to have been the kid who struck out 18 in every one of his 6-inning little league starts back in the day. He’s shown flashes of what he can do all season but he flipped a switch on August 15 when he almost threw a perfect game against the Detroit Tigers. He’s hit this number in 3 straight starts and we are unlikely to see 5.5s next to his name for much longer.
McKenzie has the Twins tonight but this is MLB player prop is more about McKenzie than the Twins. They’ve struck out 45 times in their last 179 at-bats so that’s a good thing. But again, McKenzie is matchup-proof if he’s on, which I think he will be tonight.
