The 2021 NFL season is finally upon us, and what a way to get things started as the Dallas Cowboys take on the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, at Raymond James Stadium on Thursday Night Football. Tom Brady remains the Bucs’ signal-caller at 44 years of age, while the Cowboys can look forward to the return of Dak Prescott under center.

With so much excitement around this game, why not add to the drama by betting a same game parlay? We’ve put together a 4-leg parlay that comes out at huge +4139 odds! Let’s check it out.

Dallas Cowboys +7.5 (-105)

CeeDee Lamb to score a touchdown (+170)

Antonio Brown to score a touchdown (+185)

Tom Brady under 298.5 passing yards (-114)

Parlay odds: +4139

The benefit of same game parlays is that you can combine plays that on paper appear slightly contradictory to boost the odds, when in practice it doesn’t have too much of an impact. That is the plan here, as taking the Cowboys +7.5, Lamb to score a touchdown and the under on Brady’s passing yards all correlate, but by adding Brown to find the endzone the odds get a major boost, when it ultimately may not have much of an impact on the other legs. Let’s break them down one by one.

Dallas Cowboys +7.5 (-105)

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (88) runs with the ball for a touchdown in the fourth quarter against Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Alex Singleton (49) at AT&T Stadium.

There’s no doubting that the Bucs were on another level in the playoffs last season, but they made a pretty iffy start to their campaign last year and I wouldn’t bet against the same happening again, especially considering who they’re going up against. The Cowboys were a joke for most last year but that came after Prescott went down injured, and prior to that he was putting up insane passing numbers. He once again has the likes of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb at his disposal, and I expect him to make full use of those weapons.

There’s no doubting that the Bucs are a scary opponent and their own receiving corps is just as dangerous, especially with Brady throwing to them, but this is a lot of points to give up in a season opener and I like Dallas’ chances of keeping this one within a touchdown.

CeeDee Lamb to score a touchdown (+170)

I mentioned how hot Prescott was in the passing game for the 5 games he played last year, and Lamb was one of his favorite targets. The Oklahoma product had at least 6 receptions in each of those games for at least 59 yards, and although he found the endzone only twice I expect him to come on leaps and bounds this year. Lamb has looked like a stud on Hard Knocks and entering his second year he should be a force to be reckoned with for any defense he faces. At tidy odds, he looks a great bet to add into this same game parlay.

Antonio Brown to score a touchdown (+185)

And then we come to the Buccaneers. While I’m high on the Cowboys and their scoring ability, that isn’t to say that the Bucs won’t do anything on offense. On the contrary, they should be able to find the endzone at least 3 times and I’m banking on Antonio Brown to be one of the players to take the ball in there. After a slow start, Brown really turned on the gas for the Bucs and wound up scoring 6 touchdowns in his final 6 games of last season, including in the Super Bowl. He was targeted often by Brady and now that he has had an offseason to get fully integrated into this Tampa team, I like his chances of lighting it up.

Tom Brady under 298.5 passing yards (-114)

This final leg really bumps up the odds, as we’re going slightly contradictory to the Brown pick. However, it’s not like Brown needs a ton of yards in order to score a touchdown, and quite simply I think this line is way too high for Brady. For starters, he didn’t eclipse this number in any of his last 3 playoff games, and 2 of those games saw him throw for just 199 and 201 yards. Further, he has topped this number just twice in his last 9 season-openers. There were occasions when Brady absolutely blew it up last season, but it can sometimes take players time to adjust in opening games and I think the Cowboys pass defense can hold up.
