Good morning Pickswise Nation and welcome to Wise n’ Shine, your one-stop shop for everything you need to know to bet better today! It’s hump day but we’ve got some great MLB and US Open tennis action to get excited for. Let’s get right to it!
About Last Night
MLB mega parlay cashes… sort of
It’s always a fun night when the Pickswise MLB mega parlay cashes, but the return wasn’t quite what we dreamed of after the Reds/Cardinals game was postponed. That bumped the odds down to +458, but that’s still money and the A’s, White Sox, and Braves/Dodgers under all did the business. It was also a solid night for our MLB handicappers as we went 7-6 on sides and 8-5 on the totals.
Today’s Slate
Monster MLB day on the way
We have a full 14-game MLB slate today, including three afternoon games to carry us right into the evening’s action. The Brewers and Giants continue their series with San Francisco just about clinging on to top spot in the NL West, but defeat could see them fall down to second place if the Dodgers are able to defeat the Braves again. Make sure you check out our picks for those games and the rest of today’s slate.
US Open rolls on
The US Open tennis tournament continues at Flushing Meadows, and we had ourselves a day yesterday with a parlay win (both players winning in straight sets) along with a +134 upset success. Today we go for more parlay success with the men’s singles, while Coco Gauff and Sloane Stephens could contest a thriller. Make sure you read our best bets for day three of the US Open.

Stat of the Day
Padres pitcher Yu Darvish started the season 7-2 with a 2.44 ERA, but since the beginning of July, he is 906 with a 7.01 ERA. Check out our full preview of the San Diego Padres vs Arizona Diamondbacks.

Mac Jones being named starting quarterback for the New England Patriots and the team cutting Cam Newton was the talk of the NFL world yesterday, and our lead betting analyst Jared Smith has had his say on what it means for the Pats and the futures markets.
