Best MLB player prop for Friday: Wacha to sit Twins

Fridays are for gambling. That’s a scientific fact! Today we need something to get us going into the weekend and the books have handed it to us on a silver platter. While we’re watching college football like the kings and queens we are, we’ll also have an MLB player prop working at the same time. What a special time to be alive. Oh yeah, and this bad boy is a plus moneyline. Just incredible stuff happening today, people.

Once lineups are announced for some of these games, there is a chance for opportunity to knock.

Michael Wacha over 4.5 strikeouts (+110)

DraftKings offered Wacha at 4.5 +105, so obviously he’s playable there, but I’ll opt for BetMGM. We can’t forget to price our MLB player props. We still haven’t seen what FanDuel is going to put out but in my opinion it’s unlikely to be better than 4.5 +110. If it is, we can just sprinkle some glitter over there too. No big deal.

Wacha is a Friday night guy if I’ve ever seen one. He can get you 9 strikeouts or he could get you 2. Who really knows? We do know that he has topped this number in each of his last 3 starts. Even in a 12-0 loss where he gave up 7 runs to the Twins, he still managed 5 whiffs. That’s called finding the positive.

Wacha is getting another shot at the Twins tonight, which is a good thing. Over their last 392 at-bats, they’ve struck out 111 times. There’s really 3 main guys (Miguel Sano, Ryan Jeffers, Nick Gordon) we want to see in the lineup but we are still good if one or two of them aren’t around. There’s always a chance a Jake Cave or Ryan Refsnyder makes an appearance too. Anyway we look at this, there are plenty of swing at everything guys littering this lineup.
