College Football Picks Today: September 26, 2026
Consensus spreads and totals across US books, a read on every game on the board, and the method behind the card — refreshed every morning.
Updated September 26, 2026 · Money Maverick Sports
65 games on the College Football board for Saturday, September 26, 2026. 8 of them are priced inside three points, which is where a half point of line shopping is worth the most. The tightest number on the board is Bruins @ Terrapins at -1.5 — a one-score game the market leans in only slightly. Totals average 52.9 across the slate. Every number below is the median across US books at publication, not one sportsbook's opinion — treat it as the market and compare it to the price in front of you.
Numbers below are the median across 10 US sportsbooks surveyed when this edition published, not one book's opinion. Lines move all day — confirm the current price at your own book before betting, and read line shopping for why the half point you give away is the most expensive habit in betting.
Today's Card
College football is the softest major market in American betting, because a hundred and thirty teams is more than any book can price precisely and far more than the public watches.
Today's graded plays have not been published on this page. Members receive the full card — every play, the write-up behind it and the recommended unit sizing — before the numbers move, and every result is posted publicly afterwards on the records page whether it won or lost.

Game-By-Game Previews
Each read below is drafted by our preview engine from the consensus numbers on this board and nothing else, then filtered before publication: it cannot cite an injury, a record or a statistic, because it is not given any, and language that promises a result is rejected outright. They are a starting point for your own handicapping, not a substitute for it. The plays we actually stake are on the card above.
UCLA Bruins at Maryland Terrapins
Card focus
NCAAF · Sat 1:30 PM ET · Bruins -1.5 · O/U 56.5 · ML Bruins -120 / Terrapins +100
A -1.5 price on Bruins puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 56.5 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Bruins -120 / Terrapins +100. Prices move up to 1:30 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.
Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at Wyoming Cowboys
Card focus
NCAAF · Sat 3:00 PM ET · Warriors -2.5 · O/U 43.5 · ML Warriors -130 / Cowboys +110
A -2.5 price on Warriors puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 43.5 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Warriors -130 / Cowboys +110. The number sits beside 3, the most common football margin, which makes shopping for the better side of that half point the whole decision. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 3:00 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.
Oklahoma State Cowboys at West Virginia Mountaineers
Card focus
NCAAF · Sat 7:00 PM ET · Mountaineers -2 · O/U 60.5 · ML Cowboys +105 / Mountaineers -126
-2 on Mountaineers is a lean, not a verdict: the market is telling you it expects Cowboys to be within a score of this at the end. The total sits at 60.5, which is the faster read on this game than the side: it says how much scoring the market has priced in before you form your own view. Moneyline consensus is Cowboys +105 / Mountaineers -126. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 7:00 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.
UNLV Rebels at Akron Zips
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Rebels -13.5 · O/U 52.5 · ML Rebels -530 / Zips +400
-13.5 on Rebels is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. With the side this clear, 52.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Rebels -530 / Zips +400. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 12:00 PM ET rather than assuming they match.
Ball State Cardinals at Kent State Golden Flashes
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Flashes -3 · O/U 51 · ML Cardinals +130 / Flashes -157
A -3 price on Flashes puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 51 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Cardinals +130 / Flashes -157. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. Prices move up to 12:00 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.
Colorado Buffaloes at Baylor Bears
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Bears -9.5 · O/U 55.5 · ML Buffaloes +299 / Bears -375
The books have Bears at -9.5, which is a two-score price and therefore a bet on margin rather than on outcome. The total is 55.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Buffaloes +299 / Bears -375. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 12:00 PM ET and decide from there.
Virginia Tech Hokies at Boston College Eagles
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Hokies -14 · O/U 47 · ML Hokies -625 / Eagles +450
A -14 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. With the side this clear, 47 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Hokies -625 / Eagles +450. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 12:00 PM ET.
Bucknell Bison at Pittsburgh Panthers
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Panthers -53 · O/U 63.5
-53 on Panthers is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. A total of 63.5 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Compare this against your own book before 12:00 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.
Colorado State Rams at UTSA Roadrunners
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Roadrunners -14 · O/U 57 · ML Rams +430 / Roadrunners -600
A -14 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. The total is 57, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Rams +430 / Roadrunners -600. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 12:00 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.
Illinois Fighting Illini at Ohio State Buckeyes
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Buckeyes -26 · O/U 54 · ML Illini +1600 / Buckeyes -5000
-26 on Buckeyes is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. With the side this clear, 54 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Illini +1600 / Buckeyes -5000. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 12:00 PM ET rather than assuming they match.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Louisville Cardinals
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Cardinals -13 · O/U 57 · ML Deacons +393 / Cardinals -525
A -13 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. A total of 57 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Moneyline consensus is Deacons +393 / Cardinals -525. Prices move up to 12:00 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.
Sam Houston State Bearkats at Texas Tech Red Raiders
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Raiders -34.5 · O/U 56 · ML Bearkats +4250 / Raiders -27500
-34.5 on Raiders is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. The total is 56, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Bearkats +4250 / Raiders -27500. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 12:00 PM ET and decide from there.
San Diego State Aztecs at Toledo Rockets
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Rockets -3 · O/U 51.5 · ML Aztecs +122 / Rockets -146
A -3 price on Rockets puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 51.5 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Aztecs +122 / Rockets -146. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 12:00 PM ET.
Texas Longhorns at Tennessee Volunteers
NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Longhorns -5.5 · O/U 55 · ML Longhorns -207 / Volunteers +170
The number on Longhorns is -5.5, which prices a clear advantage rather than a mismatch, and leaves the underdog live in the fourth quarter. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 55. Moneyline consensus is Longhorns -207 / Volunteers +170. Compare this against your own book before 12:00 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.
South Alabama Jaguars at Kentucky Wildcats
NCAAF · Sat 12:45 PM ET · Wildcats -20.5 · O/U 53.5 · ML Jaguars +874 / Wildcats -1500
A -20.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. The total is 53.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Jaguars +874 / Wildcats -1500. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 12:45 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.
Lindenwood Lions at Eastern Michigan Eagles
NCAAF · Sat 1:00 PM ET · Eagles -25.5 · O/U 50.5 · ML Lions +1200 / Eagles -4000
-25.5 on Eagles is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. With the side this clear, 50.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Lions +1200 / Eagles -4000. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 1:00 PM ET rather than assuming they match.
Northern Illinois Huskies at Georgia State Panthers
NCAAF · Sat 2:00 PM ET · Panthers -10.5 · O/U 56.5 · ML Huskies +316 / Panthers -400
The books have Panthers at -10.5, which is a two-score price and therefore a bet on margin rather than on outcome. The total is 56.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Huskies +316 / Panthers -400. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 2:00 PM ET and decide from there.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Purdue Boilermakers
NCAAF · Sat 2:00 PM ET · Irish -27.5 · O/U 57.5 · ML Irish -5049 / Boilermakers +1600
A -27.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. With the side this clear, 57.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Irish -5049 / Boilermakers +1600. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 2:00 PM ET.

-45.5 on Seminoles is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. A total of 62.5 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Compare this against your own book before 3:00 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.
Boise State Broncos at Western Michigan Broncos
NCAAF · Sat 3:30 PM ET · Broncos -7.5 · O/U 49.5 · ML Broncos -290 / Broncos +237
At -7.5, Broncos is being priced to win by two scores, and a number that size shifts the interesting question from who wins to whether Broncos keeps it respectable. With the side this clear, 49.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Broncos -290 / Broncos +237. This one straddles 7, football's second-biggest margin cluster, so the half point is worth chasing across books. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 3:30 PM ET rather than assuming they match.
Robert Morris Colonials at Buffalo Bulls
NCAAF · Sat 3:30 PM ET · Bulls -28.5 · O/U 46 · ML Colonials +1900 / Bulls -6000

Ole Miss Rebels at Florida Gators
NCAAF · Sat 3:30 PM ET · Gators -3.5 · O/U 58.5 · ML Rebels +145 / Gators -175
Gators -3.5 is a real but containable edge — the market expects them to win without expecting the game to stop being a game. The market has priced 58.5 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Rebels +145 / Gators -175. The number sits beside 3, the most common football margin, which makes shopping for the better side of that half point the whole decision. How To Read Today's College Football Numbers
College football's defining feature is dispersion. The gap between the best and worst teams on any Saturday is far wider than anything the NFL produces, and that changes how every number should be read.
- Big spreads are not automatically wrong. A 31-point favourite can be correctly priced, and betting dogs on principle is a losing strategy. What matters is whether the number matches the talent gap, which is what power ratings are for.
- Totals run high and move hard. Tempo differences between programmes are enormous, and a total in the 60s tells you about pace as much as quality.
- Limits are lower, so numbers are softer. Books cannot price a hundred and thirty teams as tightly as thirty-two, and the gap between two books on the same game is routinely a full point or more. This is the sport where shopping earns the most.
- Motivation is real but overused. Look-ahead spots and letdowns exist; they are also the most over-narrated angle in the sport. Treat them as a tiebreaker, never as a thesis.
Why College Numbers Are Softer Than The NFL's
| Factor | NFL | College football |
|---|---|---|
| Teams to price | 32 | 130+ |
| Games per week | ~16 | 60+ |
| Betting limits | Very high | Lower, especially off-brand games |
| Public attention | Every game | Concentrated on ~10 games |
| Book-to-book gaps | Half a point | A point or more |
| Roster turnover | Moderate | Extreme year to year |
The consequence: the profitable college work is usually in games nobody is talking about, and the least profitable is in the one game everybody is. College totals covers the market where that gap is widest.
What Makes Today's Card
Same bar as every other sport: a measurable difference between our number and the market's, larger than the cost of getting on. In college football that difference shows up more often, so the card is longer here than it is in the NFL — and the sizing is deliberately not larger, because the variance is.
Bowl season and the playoff get their own treatment on bowl games and playoff betting, since layoff and motivation genuinely dominate those spots. The record is published either way.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are today's college football picks free?
The board, the game previews and the analysis on this page are free and refresh every morning. The graded card with write-ups and unit sizing goes to members, and results are posted publicly on the records page.
Is college football easier to beat than the NFL?
The numbers are softer, which is not the same as easier. A hundred and thirty teams means books price less precisely, but it also means you have to know something about programmes nobody covers. The edge is real and it is work — and it is concentrated in games the public ignores.
Should I bet big college football underdogs?
Not as a rule. Large spreads in college are frequently correct because the talent gaps genuinely are that wide. The question is always whether this number matches this mismatch, which is a power rating question rather than a philosophical one.
Why are there so many games on this board?
Because a college Saturday can carry sixty games across the FBS. Every game with a consensus number posted for today appears above, ordered by kickoff, so you can see the whole slate rather than the handful on national television.
