College Football Picks Today — September 19, 2026

Updated September 19, 2026 · Money Maverick Sports

71 games on the College Football board for Saturday, September 19, 2026. 11 of them are priced inside three points, which is where a half point of line shopping is worth the most. The tightest number on the board is Cowboys @ Chippewas at -1 — a coin flip the market cannot separate. Totals average 52.9 across the slate. Every number below is the median across US books at publication, not one sportsbook's opinion — treat it as the market and compare it to the price in front of you.

Archived edition — market snapshot from Saturday, September 19, 2026. Every spread, total and price on this page is the number that was on the board when this edition published on that date. It is a historical record: the games have been played, the prices are not current, and nothing here is available to bet. For the live slate see college football picks today.

The Card On Sep 19

College football is the softest major market in American betting, because a hundred and thirty teams is more than any book can price precisely and far more than the public watches.

Where the card is

No graded plays were published on this page for September 19, 2026. Members receive the full card — every play, the write-up behind it and the recommended unit sizing — before the numbers move, and every result is posted publicly afterwards on the records page whether it won or lost.

Game-By-Game Previews

How these previews are written

Each read below is drafted by our preview engine from the consensus numbers on this board and nothing else, then filtered before publication: it cannot cite an injury, a record or a statistic, because it is not given any, and language that promises a result is rejected outright. They are a starting point for your own handicapping, not a substitute for it. The plays we actually stake are on the card above.

Every number quoted in these reads is the one that was on the board on September 19, 2026. Nothing here has been revised with hindsight, and nothing here reflects the current market.

Wyoming Cowboys at Central Michigan Chippewas

Card focus

NCAAF · Sat 1:00 PM ET · Cowboys -1 · O/U 38.5 · ML Cowboys -113 / Chippewas -108

A -1 price on Cowboys puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 38.5 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Cowboys -113 / Chippewas -108. Prices move up to 1:00 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.

SMU Mustangs at Louisville Cardinals

Card focus

NCAAF · Sat 3:30 PM ET · Cardinals -1.5 · O/U 58.5 · ML Mustangs +105 / Cardinals -125

The consensus has Cardinals -1.5, a margin narrow enough that the difference between books matters more than the difference between the teams. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 58.5. Moneyline consensus is Mustangs +105 / Cardinals -125. Compare this against your own book before 3:30 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.

James Madison Dukes at San Diego State Aztecs

Card focus

NCAAF · Sat 10:00 PM ET · Aztecs -1.5 · O/U 46.5 · ML Dukes +100 / Aztecs -122

A -1.5 price on Aztecs puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 46.5 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Dukes +100 / Aztecs -122. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 10:00 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers at Delaware Blue Hens

NCAAF · Sat 11:30 AM ET · Hens -5 · O/U 56.5 · ML Chanticleers +175 / Hens -207

Hens -5 is a real but containable edge — the market expects them to win without expecting the game to stop being a game. 56.5 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Chanticleers +175 / Hens -207. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 11:30 AM ET rather than assuming they match.

Akron Zips at Minnesota Golden Gophers

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Gophers -23 · O/U 49.5 · ML Zips +1400 / Gophers -3500

A -23 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. A total of 49.5 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Moneyline consensus is Zips +1400 / Gophers -3500. Prices move up to 12:00 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.

Kansas Jayhawks at Arizona State Sun Devils

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Devils -5.5 · O/U 50.5 · ML Jayhawks +170 / Devils -210

At -5.5, Devils is favoured by more than a field goal and less than a comfortable margin, which is the range where the total and the side inform each other most. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 50.5. Moneyline consensus is Jayhawks +170 / Devils -210. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 12:00 PM ET and decide from there.

Georgia Bulldogs at Arkansas Razorbacks

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Bulldogs -24.5 · O/U 54.5 · ML Bulldogs -3400 / Razorbacks +1356

A -24.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. With the side this clear, 54.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Bulldogs -3400 / Razorbacks +1356. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 12:00 PM ET.

Bowling Green Falcons at Iowa State Cyclones

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Cyclones -24 · O/U 43.5 · ML Falcons +1200 / Cyclones -2400

-24 on Cyclones is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. A total of 43.5 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Moneyline consensus is Falcons +1200 / Cyclones -2400. Compare this against your own book before 12:00 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.

Buffalo Bulls at Penn State Nittany Lions

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Lions -41 · O/U 49.5

A -41 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. The total is 49.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 12:00 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.

North Carolina Tar Heels at Clemson Tigers

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Tigers -3 · O/U 44.5 · ML Heels +138 / Tigers -164

The consensus has Tigers -3, a margin narrow enough that the difference between books matters more than the difference between the teams. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 44.5. Moneyline consensus is Heels +138 / Tigers -164. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 12:00 PM ET rather than assuming they match.

Mercer Bears at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Jackets -39 · O/U 59.5

A -39 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. A total of 59.5 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Prices move up to 12:00 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.

Tulane Green Wave at Kansas State Wildcats

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Wildcats -20.5 · O/U 49.5 · ML Wave +850 / Wildcats -1450

-20.5 on Wildcats is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. The total is 49.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Wave +850 / Wildcats -1450. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 12:00 PM ET and decide from there.

Kent State Golden Flashes at Ohio State Buckeyes

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Buckeyes -52.5 · O/U 59

A -52.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. With the side this clear, 59 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 12:00 PM ET.

North Texas Mean Green at Texas State Bobcats

NCAAF · Sat 12:00 PM ET · Bobcats -3 · O/U 62.5 · ML Green +120 / Bobcats -143

The consensus has Bobcats -3, a margin narrow enough that the difference between books matters more than the difference between the teams. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 62.5. Moneyline consensus is Green +120 / Bobcats -143. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. Compare this against your own book before 12:00 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.

Eastern Michigan Eagles at Wisconsin Badgers

NCAAF · Sat 12:30 PM ET · Badgers -23.5 · O/U 44.5 · ML Eagles +1200 / Badgers -2600

A -23.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. The total is 44.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Eagles +1200 / Badgers -2600. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 12:30 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.

NC State Wolfpack at Vanderbilt Commodores

NCAAF · Sat 12:45 PM ET · Commodores -3 · O/U 50.5 · ML Wolfpack +138 / Commodores -160

Commodores is only -3 against Wolfpack, which is the market saying it expects a one-score game and leaning barely at all. 50.5 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Wolfpack +138 / Commodores -160. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 12:45 PM ET rather than assuming they match.

Maine Black Bears at Boston College Eagles

NCAAF · Sat 2:00 PM ET · Eagles -38.5 · O/U 54.5

-38.5 on Eagles is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. The total is 54.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 2:00 PM ET and decide from there.

Southern Illinois Salukis at Illinois Fighting Illini

NCAAF · Sat 2:00 PM ET · Illini -37.5 · O/U 55.5

A -37.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. With the side this clear, 55.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 2:00 PM ET.

Temple Owls at Toledo Rockets

NCAAF · Sat 3:00 PM ET · Rockets -6 · O/U 49 · ML Owls +185 / Rockets -225

The number on Rockets is -6, which prices a clear advantage rather than a mismatch, and leaves the underdog live in the fourth quarter. 49 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Owls +185 / Rockets -225. Compare this against your own book before 3:00 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.

Florida State Seminoles at Alabama Crimson Tide

NCAAF · Sat 3:30 PM ET · Tide -19.5 · O/U 50 · ML Seminoles +843 / Tide -1400

A -19.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. The total is 50, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Seminoles +843 / Tide -1400. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 3:30 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.

Wagner Seahawks at California Golden Bears

NCAAF · Sat 3:30 PM ET · Bears -58.5 · O/U 65.5

-58.5 on Bears is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. With the side this clear, 65.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 3:30 PM ET rather than assuming they match.

Miami (OH) RedHawks at Cincinnati Bearcats

NCAAF · Sat 3:30 PM ET · Bearcats -15.5 · O/U 49.5 · ML RedHawks +534 / Bearcats -750

A -15.5 spread says the books see a mismatch. At that size the side is rarely the useful bet; what the total implies about the shape of the game usually is. A total of 49.5 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Moneyline consensus is RedHawks +534 / Bearcats -750. Prices move up to 3:30 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.

Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 3:30 PM ET.

Written reads cover the 24 games closest to a pick'em, where a half point of value is worth the most. The remaining 47 games on today's slate are on the full board above with consensus numbers.

How To Read Today's College Football Numbers

College football's defining feature is dispersion. The gap between the best and worst teams on any Saturday is far wider than anything the NFL produces, and that changes how every number should be read.

  • Big spreads are not automatically wrong. A 31-point favourite can be correctly priced, and betting dogs on principle is a losing strategy. What matters is whether the number matches the talent gap, which is what power ratings are for.
  • Totals run high and move hard. Tempo differences between programmes are enormous, and a total in the 60s tells you about pace as much as quality.
  • Limits are lower, so numbers are softer. Books cannot price a hundred and thirty teams as tightly as thirty-two, and the gap between two books on the same game is routinely a full point or more. This is the sport where shopping earns the most.
  • Motivation is real but overused. Look-ahead spots and letdowns exist; they are also the most over-narrated angle in the sport. Treat them as a tiebreaker, never as a thesis.

Why College Numbers Are Softer Than The NFL's

What makes an FBS market easier to attack than an NFL one.
FactorNFLCollege football
Teams to price32130+
Games per week~1660+
Betting limitsVery highLower, especially off-brand games
Public attentionEvery gameConcentrated on ~10 games
Book-to-book gapsHalf a pointA point or more
Roster turnoverModerateExtreme year to year

The consequence: the profitable college work is usually in games nobody is talking about, and the least profitable is in the one game everybody is. College totals covers the market where that gap is widest.

What Makes Today's Card

Same bar as every other sport: a measurable difference between our number and the market's, larger than the cost of getting on. In college football that difference shows up more often, so the card is longer here than it is in the NFL — and the sizing is deliberately not larger, because the variance is.

Bowl season and the playoff get their own treatment on bowl games and playoff betting, since layoff and motivation genuinely dominate those spots. The record is published either way.

Other Editions

Every edition of this page is kept permanently. The numbers stay exactly as they were posted on the morning of the slate, which makes the archive the only honest way to check what a market looked like before the games were played rather than after.

This is an archived edition. Today's college football picks today has the current board.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the odds on this page still available to bet?

No. Every spread, total and price here is the market snapshot captured on September 19, 2026, the day this edition published. The games have been played and the numbers are a historical record. For the current board see college football picks today.

Why keep old editions online?

Because a service that deletes its old boards is asking to be taken on trust. Keeping each edition exactly as it published means the numbers we posted before the games can be checked against what happened after them, and the graded plays are totalled on the records page whether the month was good or bad.

Were the plays on this card graded?

Plays are graded once the games finish, and the result is shown on the card above — win, loss or push. A play still marked pending on an old edition is one that has not been settled yet; it is never removed. Past results do not predict future results.
