NFL Picks Today: October 11, 2026
Consensus spreads and totals across US books, a read on every game, and the evergreen method behind the card — refreshed every morning.
Updated October 11, 2026 · Money Maverick Sports
Sunday's NFL board is light on standalone numbers this week — six of twelve games cluster within a half point of the single most common final margin in football, 3. That makes the side markets largely about whether a half point of insurance is worth the price, while totals range from a slate-low 38 to a slate-high 54.5. Worth treating the totals as the sharper angle on several of these before assuming the spread tells the whole story.
Numbers below are the median across 11 US sportsbooks surveyed when this edition published, not one book's opinion. Lines move all day — confirm the current price at your own book before betting, and read line shopping for why the half point you give away is the most expensive habit in betting.
Today's Card
The NFL card is deliberately short. Seventeen games a week means the edge is in waiting for the right number, not in having an opinion on all of them.
Today's graded plays have not been published on this page. Members receive the full card — every play, the write-up behind it and the recommended unit sizing — before the numbers move, and every result is posted publicly afterwards on the records page whether it won or lost.

Game-By-Game Previews
Each read below is drafted by our preview engine from the consensus numbers on this board and nothing else, then filtered before publication: it cannot cite an injury, a record or a statistic, because it is not given any, and language that promises a result is rejected outright. They are a starting point for your own handicapping, not a substitute for it. The plays we actually stake are on the card above.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
Card focus
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bears -1.5 · O/U 47 · ML Bears -125 / Packers +105
Bears -1.5 at Packers with a 47 total sits well off the key number 3, so there's no half-point cushion built in — a single field goal flips this line entirely rather than just changing cover margin. The moneyline gap, Bears -125 to Packers +105, roughly matches the spread's implied probability, so neither side is pricing in extra value relative to the other. At this number the game is functionally a coin flip with home field as the only marginal input.
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Card focus
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Jets -2.5 · O/U 39.5 · ML Browns +115 / Jets -140
Jets -2.5 carries the lowest total on the slate at 39.5, which tells you the market expects this to be decided on field position rather than scoring volume. The 2.5-point line clears key number 3 cleanly, so a field goal either way doesn't just push, it flips the side outright. Browns +115 on the moneyline is consistent with the spread price, meaning the number itself, not the price around it, is where the disagreement would have to be.
Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints
Card focus
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Vikings -2 · O/U 41.5 · ML Vikings -134 / Saints +114
Vikings -2 at New Orleans is a modest number that doesn't lean on the 3-point buffer at all — a Saints loss by one point beats this line even though Minnesota is still the favorite on the moneyline at -134. For Vikings backers, the number implies the market sees this as closer to even than the moneyline gap suggests. The 41.5 total is unremarkable relative to the rest of the slate and doesn't carry the same disagreement.
Philadelphia Eagles at Jacksonville Jaguars
NFL · Sun 9:30 AM ET · Jaguars -8 · O/U 41.5 · ML Eagles +310 / Jaguars -400
Jaguars -8 falls in the gap between the two most common NFL margins, 7 and 10, so the market isn't committing to either key number mattering more. Eagles +310 on the moneyline implies a win probability below what an 8-point spread alone typically suggests, meaning the side and the moneyline are pricing somewhat different scenarios. At 41.5 the total is middle-of-the-road and secondary to the margin question here.
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bengals -7 · O/U 44 · ML Bengals -340 / Dolphins +275
Bengals -7 sits directly on the single most common NFL final margin, which makes this one of the more structurally important numbers on the board — a half point in either direction would shift meaningful equity. Dolphins +7 at +275 on the moneyline is taking on a push risk that doesn't exist for Cincinnati at -340. The 44 total is unremarkable; the spread's placement on 7 is the entire story of this line.
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Texans -7 · O/U 38 · ML Texans -375 / Titans +290
Texans -7 is also parked on the key number, and it's paired with the lowest total on the slate at 38 — fewer expected scoring plays means that single 7-point threshold carries more relative weight than it would in a higher-total game. Titans +290 reflects a long moneyline price built around a line the market considers meaningfully sturdy. Anyone shopping a half point off 7 here is buying real value given how few possessions are projected.
Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Steelers -2.5 · O/U 43.5 · ML Colts +128 / Steelers -150
Steelers -2.5 sits just under key number 3, so Indianapolis covering only requires losing outright or by a single point — the number is designed to avoid the most common push scenario in football rather than lean into it. Colts +128 on the moneyline is a reasonable reflection of that gap. At 43.5 the total is middling; the more interesting read here is how tightly the spread avoids the 3-point cluster.
Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Patriots -3.5 · O/U 45 · ML Raiders +159 / Patriots -187
Patriots -3.5 sits just above key number 3, meaning the extra half point specifically guards against the single most frequent margin in the sport — a straight field-goal win for New England loses the side entirely rather than pushing. Raiders +159 on the moneyline prices in a wider gap than the spread implies, which is typical for a number built around 3. The 45 total doesn't stand out relative to the rest of the slate.
New York Giants at Washington Commanders
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Commanders -3.5 · O/U 41.5 · ML Giants +157 / Commanders -186
Commanders -3.5 is another line built around avoiding the 3-point push rather than reflecting a larger perceived gap between the teams. Giants +157 on the moneyline suggests the market views this as more lopsided than the half-point spread alone indicates. At 41.5 the total sits below the slate median, so anyone weighing this game should treat the total as the number with more room for disagreement than the side.
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers
NFL · Sun 4:05 PM ET · Broncos -3.5 · O/U 42 · ML Broncos -190 / Chargers +160
Broncos -3.5 again clears the 3-point key number by half a point, the standard hedge against the most common NFL final margin. Chargers +160 implies a wider gap than the spread suggests on its own, consistent with how moneylines typically price around a 3.5 number. The 42 total is unremarkable on this slate; the side's positioning just above 3 is the detail worth noting before taking either number at face value.
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals
NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Lions -5.5 · O/U 54.5 · ML Lions -245 / Cardinals +205
Lions -5.5 sits between the two major key numbers, 3 and 7, so neither threshold is doing the work here the way it is in some of the other games on this slate. What stands out is the 54.5 total, the highest posted today by a wide margin, implying an expectation of extended scoring. Given that, the total arguably carries more disagreement than the margin, which Detroit's -245 moneyline treats as fairly settled.
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Seahawks -3 · O/U 46.5 · ML 49ers +146 / Seahawks -170
Seahawks -3 is parked directly on the single most common NFL margin, with no half point either direction — a straight field-goal win pushes the side rather than deciding it. That makes this one of the cleaner key-number tests on the slate. 49ers +146 on the moneyline reflects a standard gap for a 3-point home favorite. The 46.5 total is slightly above the median and worth weighing independently of the margin question.
Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Falcons
NFL · Sun 8:20 PM ET · Falcons -3.5 · O/U 43.5 · ML Ravens +149 / Falcons -175
Falcons -3.5 again sits just outside the 3-point cluster, the familiar half-point hedge against the league's most common final margin. Ravens +149 on the moneyline implies a wider separation than the spread number by itself suggests, which tracks with how books generally price around 3.5. At 43.5 the total is close to the slate median, leaving the side's relationship to the key number as the more notable detail in this one.
How To Read Today's NFL Numbers
Every spread and total on the board above is the median across the US sportsbooks surveyed at publication, which makes it a fair statement of where the market sits rather than one book's shading. Your own book will differ, sometimes by the half point that decides the bet.
Three things to check before anything else:
- Where the number sits relative to 3 and 7. Roughly a quarter of NFL games land on exactly those margins. Moving from -3 to -2.5 buys real win probability; moving from -5 to -4.5 buys almost none. Detail in key numbers.
- Which direction the number has already travelled. A game that opened at -6 and sits at -3.5 is telling you something the closing number will confirm. That is the substance of closing line value.
- Whether the total or the side is the more interesting price. On most NFL slates the total is the softer of the two, because public money concentrates on sides.
When To Bet An NFL Game Today
NFL numbers follow a weekly rhythm, and the same play is worth different prices depending on when you take it.
| What you like | Best time to bet | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A favourite the public will also like | Early in the week | Public money pushes the number up as the weekend approaches. |
| An unpopular underdog | Sunday morning | That same money has moved the price in your favour. |
| An under | Late | Overs attract recreational money; unders get cheaper. |
| A total affected by wind | Once the forecast firms | Wind is priced late and often incompletely. |
| Anything after a quarterback ruling | Immediately | Backup-quarterback spreads move several points within minutes. |
None of that tells you which side to take. It tells you what a side is worth once you have decided, which is the part most bettors skip.
What Makes Today's Card
A number reaching the card has to clear the same bar every day: our own price on the game has to differ from the market price by more than the vig we are paying to get on. That is it. No play is added because a slate looks thin, and a slate with nothing on it gets nothing.
That produces two to five NFL plays in a normal week rather than a full slate of them, and it is why the documented record is posted publicly rather than described in adjectives. If you want the reasoning rather than the plays, the expected value and unit sizing guides are the whole method in two pages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are today's NFL picks free?
The board, the game-by-game previews and the analysis on this page are free and updated every morning. The graded card — the actual plays with write-ups and recommended unit sizing — goes to members, and last season's results are posted on the records page whether they were good or bad.
Where do the odds on this page come from?
They are the median spread and total across the US sportsbooks surveyed when the page was published, so no single book's shading distorts the number. Lines move all day; always confirm the current price at your own book before betting, and read line shopping for why the difference matters more than most bettors assume.
How many NFL plays should be on a card?
Fewer than most services publish. Seventeen games a season and one slate a week means genuine number edges are scarce, so two to five plays is a normal week and zero is a legitimate answer to a bad one. A service that finds ten plays every Sunday is selling volume, not edge.
Why does this page change every day?
Because the board does. A new edition publishes each morning with the day's games and numbers, and the previous day's edition is kept permanently in the pick archive so you can see what the market looked like before the games were played rather than after.
