NFL Picks Today — November 1, 2026
Updated November 1, 2026 · Money Maverick Sports
A twelve-game Sunday with no genuine toss-ups above the Chiefs-Broncos number and no true blowout below the Titans-Bengals one. Several lines sit right on or just off the NFL's key numbers of 3 and 7, which matters more here than the moneylines suggest once juice is applied. Totals range from 39 to 54.5, giving the under crowd and the over crowd distinct lanes depending on which side of the spread they're pairing with.
Archived edition — market snapshot from Sunday, November 1, 2026. Every spread, total and price on this page is the number that was on the board when this edition published on that date. It is a historical record: the games have been played, the prices are not current, and nothing here is available to bet. For the live slate see nfl picks today.
The Card On Nov 1
The NFL card is deliberately short. Seventeen games a week means the edge is in waiting for the right number, not in having an opinion on all of them.
No graded plays were published on this page for November 1, 2026. Members receive the full card — every play, the write-up behind it and the recommended unit sizing — before the numbers move, and every result is posted publicly afterwards on the records page whether it won or lost.

Game-By-Game Previews
Each read below is drafted by our preview engine from the consensus numbers on this board and nothing else, then filtered before publication: it cannot cite an injury, a record or a statistic, because it is not given any, and language that promises a result is rejected outright. They are a starting point for your own handicapping, not a substitute for it. The plays we actually stake are on the card above.
Every number quoted in these reads is the one that was on the board on November 1, 2026. Nothing here has been revised with hindsight, and nothing here reflects the current market.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Card focus
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Buccaneers -2 · O/U 43.5 · ML Falcons +108 / Buccaneers -129
Tampa Bay -2 with a -129 moneyline is standard pricing, not a disconnect — the market isn't hiding extra confidence in the number. At 43.5, this total sits toward the lower end of the slate, which argues for a game decided by one or two scores rather than a shootout. For Atlanta to be live, the Falcons need this to stay a short-field, low-possession contest where the two points never get challenged.
Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets
Card focus
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Jets -1.5 · O/U 46 · ML Raiders +105 / Jets -123
Jets -1.5 is as close to a true coin flip as the board offers this week, and the -123/+105 prices confirm it. A total of 46 is middling, so neither side of the spread leans on game script to cash. Backing Vegas at plus money requires only that the Jets' home number proves slightly inflated; backing the favorite requires nothing more than the half point holding.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Card focus
NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Chiefs -1 · O/U 40.5 · ML Chiefs -115 / Broncos -103
Kansas City -1 with Denver at -103 is about as flat as a market gets — the moneylines barely separate the teams, which tracks with a one-point spread. The total of 40.5 is the second-lowest on the slate, meaning the side bet here is effectively secondary to how low-scoring this game actually plays. A total this low leaves little room for the favorite to pull away.
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Cowboys -7 · O/U 54.5 · ML Cardinals +260 / Cowboys -320
Dallas -7 sits directly on the NFL's most common margin, so there's no half-point cushion on either side of the key number — a push is live. The -320 price reflects that lean toward the favorite independent of the number itself. At 54.5, the total is among the highest posted, so the side and the over are not independent bets; a Dallas blowout and a high total likely arrive together.
Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bills -3 · O/U 54.5 · ML Ravens +149 / Bills -175
Buffalo -3 is the single most contested number in football, landing exactly on the margin with no half point to either side. The 54.5 total matches the Dallas-Arizona game as the slate's highest, suggesting the market expects scoring regardless of which side of 3 wins. Baltimore backers are getting the short end of the key number itself, not just the game.
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bengals -12.5 · O/U 46.5 · ML Titans +575 / Bengals -845
Cincinnati -12.5 with a -845 moneyline prices in almost no outcome besides a Bengals win; the number is really a bet on margin, not result. Tennessee at +575 on the moneyline confirms the market sees this as lopsided. The total of 46.5 implies the Bengals alone are expected to do much of the scoring, so the Titans covering requires keeping this within two scores, not winning outright.
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Steelers -3.5 · O/U 39 · ML Browns +160 / Steelers -190
Pittsburgh -3.5 clears the key number of 3 by half a point, which removes the push and makes this a cleaner bet than the Buffalo or Dallas lines. The total of 39 is the lowest on the board, reinforcing a game expected to be decided by a field goal or two. Cleveland covering only needs to keep the margin inside a single score in a game built to be low-scoring.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Lions -3.5 · O/U 46 · ML Vikings +151 / Lions -180
Detroit -3.5 also clears the key 3 by a half point, same structure as Pittsburgh-Cleveland but with a total nine points higher at 46. That gap matters: this line expects more scoring to produce the same margin, which is a different kind of favorite than one grinding out a low-total win. Minnesota at +151 is priced as a live underdog, not a token number.
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars
NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Jaguars -10 · O/U 46.5 · ML Colts +370 / Jaguars -485
Jacksonville -10 with Indianapolis out to +370 on the moneyline is a full two-score line, the second-largest spread of the day. The total of 46.5 suggests this isn't expected to be a defensive stalemate, so the Jaguars covering likely means pulling away through scoring rather than field position. Indianapolis backers are really betting that double digits is simply too many points regardless of who wins.
Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams
NFL · Sun 4:05 PM ET · Rams -6.5 · O/U 45.5 · ML Chargers +230 / Rams -285
Rams -6.5 sits just under the key number of 7, meaning the extra half point protects the favorite from a backdoor field goal pushing this to a tie on the number. The 45.5 total is middle-of-the-pack for the slate. Chargers backers at +230 on the moneyline are being paid for outright upset odds that the half-point spread alone doesn't fully capture.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Patriots -7 · O/U 43 · ML Patriots -351 / Dolphins +280
New England -7 lands precisely on the key number with no half-point buffer in either direction, so a three-and-four-point finish pushes. The -351 moneyline is a stiff price for a game with a total of only 43, the second-lowest of the day. That combination argues the market expects a contest controlled by field position and limited possessions rather than a track meet.
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders
NFL · Sun 8:20 PM ET · Commanders -6 · O/U 40 · ML Eagles +220 / Commanders -270
Washington -6 avoids the key numbers of 3 and 7 entirely, which is a different kind of number than most of today's spreads — there's no natural margin for either side to lean on for half-point value. The total of 40 is tied for the lowest on the slate. Philadelphia at +220 is priced as a live dog in a game the market expects to stay low-scoring.
How To Read Today's NFL Numbers
Every spread and total on the board above is the median across the US sportsbooks surveyed at publication, which makes it a fair statement of where the market sits rather than one book's shading. Your own book will differ, sometimes by the half point that decides the bet.
Three things to check before anything else:
- Where the number sits relative to 3 and 7. Roughly a quarter of NFL games land on exactly those margins. Moving from -3 to -2.5 buys real win probability; moving from -5 to -4.5 buys almost none. Detail in key numbers.
- Which direction the number has already travelled. A game that opened at -6 and sits at -3.5 is telling you something the closing number will confirm. That is the substance of closing line value.
- Whether the total or the side is the more interesting price. On most NFL slates the total is the softer of the two, because public money concentrates on sides.
When To Bet An NFL Game Today
NFL numbers follow a weekly rhythm, and the same play is worth different prices depending on when you take it.
| What you like | Best time to bet | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A favourite the public will also like | Early in the week | Public money pushes the number up as the weekend approaches. |
| An unpopular underdog | Sunday morning | That same money has moved the price in your favour. |
| An under | Late | Overs attract recreational money; unders get cheaper. |
| A total affected by wind | Once the forecast firms | Wind is priced late and often incompletely. |
| Anything after a quarterback ruling | Immediately | Backup-quarterback spreads move several points within minutes. |
None of that tells you which side to take. It tells you what a side is worth once you have decided, which is the part most bettors skip.
What Makes Today's Card
A number reaching the card has to clear the same bar every day: our own price on the game has to differ from the market price by more than the vig we are paying to get on. That is it. No play is added because a slate looks thin, and a slate with nothing on it gets nothing.
That produces two to five NFL plays in a normal week rather than a full slate of them, and it is why the documented record is posted publicly rather than described in adjectives. If you want the reasoning rather than the plays, the expected value and unit sizing guides are the whole method in two pages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the odds on this page still available to bet?
No. Every spread, total and price here is the market snapshot captured on November 1, 2026, the day this edition published. The games have been played and the numbers are a historical record. For the current board see nfl picks today.
Why keep old editions online?
Because a service that deletes its old boards is asking to be taken on trust. Keeping each edition exactly as it published means the numbers we posted before the games can be checked against what happened after them, and the graded plays are totalled on the records page whether the month was good or bad.
Were the plays on this card graded?
Plays are graded once the games finish, and the result is shown on the card above — win, loss or push. A play still marked pending on an old edition is one that has not been settled yet; it is never removed. Past results do not predict future results.
