NFL Picks Today — September 13, 2026

Updated September 13, 2026 · Money Maverick Sports

13 games on the NFL board for Sunday, September 13, 2026. 7 of them are priced inside three points, which is where a half point of line shopping is worth the most. The tightest number on the board is Bills @ Texans at -1 — a coin flip the market cannot separate. Totals average 45 across the slate. Every number below is the median across US books at publication, not one sportsbook's opinion — treat it as the market and compare it to the price in front of you.

Archived edition — market snapshot from Sunday, September 13, 2026. Every spread, total and price on this page is the number that was on the board when this edition published on that date. It is a historical record: the games have been played, the prices are not current, and nothing here is available to bet. For the live slate see nfl picks today.

The Card On Sep 13

The NFL card is deliberately short. Seventeen games a week means the edge is in waiting for the right number, not in having an opinion on all of them.

Where the card is

No graded plays were published on this page for September 13, 2026. Members receive the full card — every play, the write-up behind it and the recommended unit sizing — before the numbers move, and every result is posted publicly afterwards on the records page whether it won or lost.

Game-By-Game Previews

How these previews are written

Each read below is drafted by our preview engine from the consensus numbers on this board and nothing else, then filtered before publication: it cannot cite an injury, a record or a statistic, because it is not given any, and language that promises a result is rejected outright. They are a starting point for your own handicapping, not a substitute for it. The plays we actually stake are on the card above.

Every number quoted in these reads is the one that was on the board on September 13, 2026. Nothing here has been revised with hindsight, and nothing here reflects the current market.

Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans

Card focus

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bills -1 · O/U 44.5 · ML Bills -118 / Texans -103

The consensus has Bills -1, a margin narrow enough that the difference between books matters more than the difference between the teams. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 44.5. Moneyline consensus is Bills -118 / Texans -103. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 1:00 PM ET and decide from there.

New York Jets at Tennessee Titans

Card focus

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Titans -1 · O/U 38.5 · ML Jets +100 / Titans -120

-1 on Titans is a lean, not a verdict: the market is telling you it expects Jets to be within a score of this at the end. The total sits at 38.5, which is the faster read on this game than the side: it says how much scoring the market has priced in before you form your own view. Moneyline consensus is Jets +100 / Titans -120. Prices move up to 1:00 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

Card focus

NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Vikings -2 · O/U 46 · ML Packers +110 / Vikings -130

A -2 price on Vikings puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 46 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Packers +110 / Vikings -130. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 4:25 PM ET.

Atlanta Falcons at Pittsburgh Steelers

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Steelers -6.5 · O/U 41 · ML Falcons +237 / Steelers -290

Steelers -6.5 is a real but containable edge — the market expects them to win without expecting the game to stop being a game. 41 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Falcons +237 / Steelers -290. This one straddles 7, football's second-biggest margin cluster, so the half point is worth chasing across books. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 1:00 PM ET rather than assuming they match.

Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Ravens -3 · O/U 48 · ML Ravens -170 / Colts +145

A -3 price on Ravens puts this inside a single score, and games priced this close are where a half point is worth the most of anywhere on the board. The market has priced 48 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Ravens -170 / Colts +145. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. Prices move up to 1:00 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.

Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bears -3 · O/U 47 · ML Bears -167 / Panthers +140

-3 on Bears is a lean, not a verdict: the market is telling you it expects Panthers to be within a score of this at the end. The total sits at 47, which is the faster read on this game than the side: it says how much scoring the market has priced in before you form your own view. Moneyline consensus is Bears -167 / Panthers +140. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 1:00 PM ET.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cincinnati Bengals

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bengals -3.5 · O/U 50.5 · ML Buccaneers +171 / Bengals -205

The number on Bengals is -3.5, which prices a clear advantage rather than a mismatch, and leaves the underdog live in the fourth quarter. 50.5 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Buccaneers +171 / Bengals -205. The number sits beside 3, the most common football margin, which makes shopping for the better side of that half point the whole decision. Compare this against your own book before 1:00 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.

Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Jaguars -9 · O/U 40 · ML Browns +325 / Jaguars -435

The books have Jaguars at -9, which is a two-score price and therefore a bet on margin rather than on outcome. The total is 40, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Browns +325 / Jaguars -435. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 1:00 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.

New Orleans Saints at Detroit Lions

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Lions -7 · O/U 49.5 · ML Saints +260 / Lions -325

Lions -7 is a real but containable edge — the market expects them to win without expecting the game to stop being a game. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 49.5. Moneyline consensus is Saints +260 / Lions -325. Seven is the second-largest cluster in football margins, so a half point either side of this number is worth real win probability. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 1:00 PM ET rather than assuming they match.

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Chargers

NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Chargers -9.5 · O/U 47 · ML Cardinals +390 / Chargers -505

The books have Chargers at -9.5, which is a two-score price and therefore a bet on margin rather than on outcome. The total is 47, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Cardinals +390 / Chargers -505. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 4:25 PM ET and decide from there.

Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders

NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Raiders -3 · O/U 40.5 · ML Dolphins +140 / Raiders -170

The consensus has Raiders -3, a margin narrow enough that the difference between books matters more than the difference between the teams. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 40.5. Moneyline consensus is Dolphins +140 / Raiders -170. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. Compare this against your own book before 4:25 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles

NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Eagles -5.5 · O/U 44 · ML Commanders +203 / Eagles -248

At -5.5, Eagles is favoured by more than a field goal and less than a comfortable margin, which is the range where the total and the side inform each other most. The total sits at 44, which is the faster read on this game than the side: it says how much scoring the market has priced in before you form your own view. Moneyline consensus is Commanders +203 / Eagles -248. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 4:25 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants

NFL · Sun 8:20 PM ET · Cowboys -3 · O/U 48 · ML Cowboys -162 / Giants +138

Cowboys is only -3 against Giants, which is the market saying it expects a one-score game and leaning barely at all. 48 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Cowboys -162 / Giants +138. The number is parked on 3, the single most common NFL and college margin, so buying or selling that half point matters more here than anywhere else on the board. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 8:20 PM ET rather than assuming they match.

How To Read Today's NFL Numbers

Every spread and total on the board above is the median across the US sportsbooks surveyed at publication, which makes it a fair statement of where the market sits rather than one book's shading. Your own book will differ, sometimes by the half point that decides the bet.

Three things to check before anything else:

  • Where the number sits relative to 3 and 7. Roughly a quarter of NFL games land on exactly those margins. Moving from -3 to -2.5 buys real win probability; moving from -5 to -4.5 buys almost none. Detail in key numbers.
  • Which direction the number has already travelled. A game that opened at -6 and sits at -3.5 is telling you something the closing number will confirm. That is the substance of closing line value.
  • Whether the total or the side is the more interesting price. On most NFL slates the total is the softer of the two, because public money concentrates on sides.

When To Bet An NFL Game Today

NFL numbers follow a weekly rhythm, and the same play is worth different prices depending on when you take it.

When each type of NFL play tends to price best.

None of that tells you which side to take. It tells you what a side is worth once you have decided, which is the part most bettors skip.

What Makes Today's Card

A number reaching the card has to clear the same bar every day: our own price on the game has to differ from the market price by more than the vig we are paying to get on. That is it. No play is added because a slate looks thin, and a slate with nothing on it gets nothing.

That produces two to five NFL plays in a normal week rather than a full slate of them, and it is why the documented record is posted publicly rather than described in adjectives. If you want the reasoning rather than the plays, the expected value and unit sizing guides are the whole method in two pages.

Money Maverick Sports publishes analysis and opinion, not predictions of certainty. No play on this page or behind the membership wall is guaranteed. Bet only what you can afford to lose, and if betting has stopped being a choice, call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the odds on this page still available to bet?

No. Every spread, total and price here is the market snapshot captured on September 13, 2026, the day this edition published. The games have been played and the numbers are a historical record. For the current board see nfl picks today.

Why keep old editions online?

Because a service that deletes its old boards is asking to be taken on trust. Keeping each edition exactly as it published means the numbers we posted before the games can be checked against what happened after them, and the graded plays are totalled on the records page whether the month was good or bad.

Were the plays on this card graded?

Plays are graded once the games finish, and the result is shown on the card above — win, loss or push. A play still marked pending on an old edition is one that has not been settled yet; it is never removed. Past results do not predict future results.
