NFL Picks Today: October 25, 2026

Consensus spreads and totals across US books, a read on every game, and the evergreen method behind the card — refreshed every morning.

Updated October 25, 2026 · Money Maverick Sports

A twelve-game Sunday with four home favorites laying exactly 3 and a wide range of totals, from 37 in Nashville to 55 in Detroit. Several spreads sit directly on or just off the key numbers of 3 and 7, where half-points carry outsized value. The moneyline market on the bigger favorites (Houston, Minnesota, Denver) is pricing confidence well beyond what the spread alone suggests.

Numbers below are the median across 10 US sportsbooks surveyed when this edition published, not one book's opinion. Lines move all day — confirm the current price at your own book before betting, and read line shopping for why the half point you give away is the most expensive habit in betting.

Today's Card

The NFL card is deliberately short. Seventeen games a week means the edge is in waiting for the right number, not in having an opinion on all of them.

Where the card is

Today's graded plays have not been published on this page. Members receive the full card — every play, the write-up behind it and the recommended unit sizing — before the numbers move, and every result is posted publicly afterwards on the records page whether it won or lost.

The games today's card is built around: the closest numbers on the board, where a half point is worth the most.

Game-By-Game Previews

How these previews are written

Each read below is drafted by our preview engine from the consensus numbers on this board and nothing else, then filtered before publication: it cannot cite an injury, a record or a statistic, because it is not given any, and language that promises a result is rejected outright. They are a starting point for your own handicapping, not a substitute for it. The plays we actually stake are on the card above.

Pittsburgh Steelers at New Orleans Saints

Card focus

NFL · Sun 9:30 AM ET · Steelers -3 · O/U 43.5 · ML Steelers -165 / Saints +141

Steelers -3 sits on the most common NFL margin, so the number itself is doing real work; taking Pittsburgh at -3 or the Saints at +3 changes the bet's math far more than a half-point typically would. The -165 moneyline implies win probability meaningfully above what a 3-point line usually carries, meaning the market expects Pittsburgh to win outright more often than it expects a 3-point margin specifically. At 43.5, the total asks for a modest, grind-it-out scoring pace rather than anything explosive.

San Francisco 49ers at Atlanta Falcons

Card focus

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · 49ers -2.5 · O/U 50 · ML 49ers -150 / Falcons +125

San Francisco -2.5 keeps the Niners off the key number 3, so there's no push risk either direction — this is a clean two-and-a-half point lean. The total of 50 is the more notable figure here; it's priced for a genuine high-scoring game, meaning the over side needs both offenses to function rather than just one. With the moneyline at -150, the market rates San Francisco a clear but not overwhelming favorite, roughly in line with a field-goal-plus margin.

Cleveland Browns at Tennessee Titans

Card focus

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Browns -2 · O/U 37 · ML Browns -132 / Titans +111

Cleveland -2 is a short number, and at 37 total this is projected as the lowest-scoring game on the slate. That combination argues this is being bet as a field-position, defensive contest rather than one decided by scheme or pace. The -132 moneyline on Cleveland implies a tighter margin than the total alone would suggest; Tennessee at +111 is priced as live to win outright, not just cover, which is consistent with a short spread on a low total.

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Bengals -3 · O/U 46 · ML Bengals -154 / Ravens +132

Cincinnati -3 again lands on the key number, with a 46 total that's moderately elevated relative to several other games on the board. The -154 price on the Bengals moneyline is higher than you'd expect from a bare 3-point line, suggesting the market leans toward Cincinnati winning outright more often than winning by exactly a field goal or less. Baltimore at +132 is the more interesting side of this number precisely because 3 is where pushes and bad beats concentrate.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Panthers -3 · O/U 44.5 · ML Buccaneers +129 / Panthers -152

Carolina -3 at home against Tampa Bay is another game built around the key number, and the 44.5 total sits in the middle of the slate's range. The gap between the spread (a field goal) and the moneyline (-152, implying a clearer favorite) is where the value question lives: is Carolina a true 3-point team, or is the market pricing more cushion than the spread shows. Tampa Bay at +129 is betting that the 3 holds or is beaten outright.

New York Giants at Houston Texans

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Texans -10.5 · O/U 42.5 · ML Giants +375 / Texans -485

Houston -10.5 is well off any key number, so half-point shopping matters less than the total here. At 42.5, the total is low for a double-digit favorite, which tells you the market expects this margin to come from limiting the Giants rather than from a high-scoring blowout. The -485 moneyline implies win probability far north of what a 10.5-point line alone conveys, meaning most of the betting interest is already baked into outright outcome rather than the exact cover number.

Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Vikings -6.5 · O/U 41.5 · ML Colts +243 / Vikings -300

Minnesota -6.5 avoids the key numbers of 3 and 7 by straddling between them, which is itself informative — the market isn't comfortable rounding this to either common margin. The 41.5 total is on the lower end of the slate, again pointing to a game decided by field position rather than scoring volume. At -300, the moneyline treats Minnesota as a heavy outright favorite, with Indianapolis at +243 priced mainly as a live underdog rather than a cover candidate.

Miami Dolphins at New York Jets

NFL · Sun 1:00 PM ET · Jets -4 · O/U 39.5 · ML Dolphins +179 / Jets -219

Jets -4 sits just off the 3 and well off the 7, a number that rewards shopping half-points on either side since both key margins are within reach. The 39.5 total is the second-lowest on the board, framing this as a low-possession, low-variance game where a single defensive or special-teams score can flip the spread outcome. The -219 moneyline implies a clearer favorite than a 4-point line typically suggests, making the Dolphins at +179 the number worth more scrutiny.

Denver Broncos at Arizona Cardinals

NFL · Sun 4:05 PM ET · Broncos -4.5 · O/U 43.5 · ML Broncos -225 / Cardinals +186

Denver -4.5 sits between the key numbers of 3 and 7, so there's no single half-point that materially changes the bet's exposure to a push. The 43.5 total is middling for the slate. The -225 moneyline implies Denver winning outright at a higher rate than a 4.5-point spread alone would suggest, which puts more weight on whether Arizona's +186 price undervalues its chances of simply staying within the field-goal range.

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Lions -3.5 · O/U 55 · ML Packers +160 / Lions -192

Detroit -3.5 is a half-point off the single most important number in football, meaning a 3-point final would cash the Lions on the moneyline but push nothing on the spread — the Packers at +3.5 are specifically insured against that outcome. The 55 total is the highest on the slate by a wide margin, making the over/under arguably the more interesting bet here, since it requires both offenses to sustain scoring rather than one side controlling pace.

Los Angeles Rams at Las Vegas Raiders

NFL · Sun 4:25 PM ET · Rams -3 · O/U 48.5 · ML Rams -175 / Raiders +147

Rams -3 is squarely on the key number, and the 48.5 total is near the top of the slate, so this sets up as a game where the favorite is expected to win a possession-rich contest rather than grind it out. The -175 moneyline implies a cleaner favorite than a bare 3-point line usually carries. Las Vegas at +147 is a bet that either the Raiders win outright or the margin lands on either side of 3 rather than exactly on it.

Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks

NFL · Sun 8:20 PM ET · Seahawks -3 · O/U 42.5 · ML Chiefs +128 / Seahawks -150

Seattle -3 at home against Kansas City is a key-number spread with a 42.5 total that's on the lower half of the board, suggesting the market expects this decided by a single possession rather than volume scoring. The Chiefs at +128 are priced as live to win outright, which is notable against a home favorite at only -150 — a tighter gap between spread and moneyline than several other games here, meaning less value is baked into Seattle covering by more than a field goal.

How To Read Today's NFL Numbers

Every spread and total on the board above is the median across the US sportsbooks surveyed at publication, which makes it a fair statement of where the market sits rather than one book's shading. Your own book will differ, sometimes by the half point that decides the bet.

Three things to check before anything else:

  • Where the number sits relative to 3 and 7. Roughly a quarter of NFL games land on exactly those margins. Moving from -3 to -2.5 buys real win probability; moving from -5 to -4.5 buys almost none. Detail in key numbers.
  • Which direction the number has already travelled. A game that opened at -6 and sits at -3.5 is telling you something the closing number will confirm. That is the substance of closing line value.
  • Whether the total or the side is the more interesting price. On most NFL slates the total is the softer of the two, because public money concentrates on sides.

When To Bet An NFL Game Today

NFL numbers follow a weekly rhythm, and the same play is worth different prices depending on when you take it.

None of that tells you which side to take. It tells you what a side is worth once you have decided, which is the part most bettors skip.

What Makes Today's Card

A number reaching the card has to clear the same bar every day: our own price on the game has to differ from the market price by more than the vig we are paying to get on. That is it. No play is added because a slate looks thin, and a slate with nothing on it gets nothing.

That produces two to five NFL plays in a normal week rather than a full slate of them, and it is why the documented record is posted publicly rather than described in adjectives. If you want the reasoning rather than the plays, the expected value and unit sizing guides are the whole method in two pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are today's NFL picks free?

The board, the game-by-game previews and the analysis on this page are free and updated every morning. The graded card — the actual plays with write-ups and recommended unit sizing — goes to members, and last season's results are posted on the records page whether they were good or bad.

Where do the odds on this page come from?

They are the median spread and total across the US sportsbooks surveyed when the page was published, so no single book's shading distorts the number. Lines move all day; always confirm the current price at your own book before betting, and read line shopping for why the difference matters more than most bettors assume.

How many NFL plays should be on a card?

Fewer than most services publish. Seventeen games a season and one slate a week means genuine number edges are scarce, so two to five plays is a normal week and zero is a legitimate answer to a bad one. A service that finds ten plays every Sunday is selling volume, not edge.

Why does this page change every day?

Because the board does. A new edition publishes each morning with the day's games and numbers, and the previous day's edition is kept permanently in the pick archive so you can see what the market looked like before the games were played rather than after.
