NBA Picks Today — November 6, 2026
Updated November 6, 2026 · Money Maverick Sports
9 games on the NBA board for Friday, November 6, 2026. 2 of them are priced inside three points, which is where a half point of line shopping is worth the most. The tightest number on the board is 76ers @ Cavaliers at -2.5 — a one-score game the market leans in only slightly. Totals average 226.8 across the slate. Every number below is the median across US books at publication, not one sportsbook's opinion — treat it as the market and compare it to the price in front of you.
Archived edition — market snapshot from Friday, November 6, 2026. Every spread, total and price on this page is the number that was on the board when this edition published on that date. It is a historical record: the games have been played, the prices are not current, and nothing here is available to bet. For the live slate see nba picks today.
The Card On Nov 6
The NBA is the most schedule-driven league in American sport. Most of the edge on a given night is in knowing which teams are being asked to do something unreasonable.
No graded plays were published on this page for November 6, 2026. Members receive the full card — every play, the write-up behind it and the recommended unit sizing — before the numbers move, and every result is posted publicly afterwards on the records page whether it won or lost.

Game-By-Game Previews
Each read below is drafted by our preview engine from the consensus numbers on this board and nothing else, then filtered before publication: it cannot cite an injury, a record or a statistic, because it is not given any, and language that promises a result is rejected outright. They are a starting point for your own handicapping, not a substitute for it. The plays we actually stake are on the card above.
Every number quoted in these reads is the one that was on the board on November 6, 2026. Nothing here has been revised with hindsight, and nothing here reflects the current market.
Philadelphia 76ers at Cleveland Cavaliers
Card focus
NBA · Fri 7:40 PM ET · 76ers -2.5 · O/U 228.5 · ML 76ers -145 / Cavaliers +125
The consensus has 76ers -2.5, a margin narrow enough that the difference between books matters more than the difference between the teams. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 228.5. Moneyline consensus is 76ers -145 / Cavaliers +125. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 7:40 PM ET and decide from there.
Oklahoma City Thunder at Memphis Grizzlies
Card focus
NBA · Fri 8:10 PM ET · Thunder -3.5 · O/U 225.5 · ML Thunder -155 / Grizzlies +130
The number on Thunder is -3.5, which prices a clear advantage rather than a mismatch, and leaves the underdog live in the fourth quarter. 225.5 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Thunder -155 / Grizzlies +130. Compare this against your own book before 8:10 PM ET — the price you actually get is the only one that pays.
Portland Trail Blazers at Los Angeles Lakers
Card focus
NBA · Fri 10:10 PM ET · Lakers -2.5 · O/U 232 · ML Blazers +125 / Lakers -149
-2.5 on Lakers is a lean, not a verdict: the market is telling you it expects Blazers to be within a score of this at the end. The total sits at 232, which is the faster read on this game than the side: it says how much scoring the market has priced in before you form your own view. Moneyline consensus is Blazers +125 / Lakers -149. Prices move up to 10:10 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.
Washington Wizards at Atlanta Hawks
NBA · Fri 7:10 PM ET · Hawks -6.5 · O/U 228.5 · ML Wizards +210 / Hawks -260
Hawks -6.5 is a real but containable edge — the market expects them to win without expecting the game to stop being a game. 228.5 is the posted total. Comparing it against what you think the game looks like is usually a cleaner decision than picking a side this close. Moneyline consensus is Wizards +210 / Hawks -260. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 7:10 PM ET rather than assuming they match.
Boston Celtics at Charlotte Hornets
NBA · Fri 7:10 PM ET · Celtics -8.5 · O/U 209.5 · ML Celtics -340 / Hornets +270
Celtics -8.5 is a two-score expectation. Prices this long are usually more about how the favourite finishes than whether it leads. A total of 209.5 beside a spread this size is the market describing pace as much as strength; that is the half of the price still open to disagreement. Moneyline consensus is Celtics -340 / Hornets +270. Prices move up to 7:10 PM ET, so treat the number here as where the market was and not necessarily where you can get on.
Utah Jazz at Dallas Mavericks
NBA · Fri 8:10 PM ET · Mavericks -7.5 · O/U 226.5 · ML Jazz +225 / Mavericks -275
At -7.5, Mavericks is being priced to win by two scores, and a number that size shifts the interesting question from who wins to whether Jazz keeps it respectable. With the side this clear, 226.5 is the number worth arguing about — it is the market's estimate of the shape of the game rather than its winner. Moneyline consensus is Jazz +225 / Mavericks -275. Whether that reads cheap or expensive is your call to make against your own book before 8:10 PM ET.
Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks
NBA · Fri 8:10 PM ET · Raptors -7 · O/U 231 · ML Raptors -257 / Bucks +210
At -7, Raptors is favoured by more than a field goal and less than a comfortable margin, which is the range where the total and the side inform each other most. The market has priced 231 points into this one, which is the number to start from if the side is too close to call. Moneyline consensus is Raptors -257 / Bucks +210. Whatever you make of it, shop the number before 8:10 PM ET; a half point here is worth more than most opinions about the game.
Minnesota Timberwolves at New Orleans Pelicans
NBA · Fri 8:10 PM ET · Timberwolves -4.5 · O/U 230.5 · ML Timberwolves -180 / Pelicans +152
Timberwolves -4.5 is a real but containable edge — the market expects them to win without expecting the game to stop being a game. Totals are where a close game gets interesting, and this one is posted at 230.5. Moneyline consensus is Timberwolves -180 / Pelicans +152. The board above is the median across US books at publication. Check it against your book before 8:10 PM ET rather than assuming they match.
San Antonio Spurs at Sacramento Kings
NBA · Fri 10:10 PM ET · Spurs -15 · O/U 229.5 · ML Spurs -1000 / Kings +650
-15 on Spurs is the market expecting this to be decided early, which makes the total the more informative of the two prices here. The total is 229.5, and on a game priced this lopsided it is the number carrying most of the information: it tells you whether the market expects the favourite to bury this or grind it out. Moneyline consensus is Spurs -1000 / Kings +650. None of that is a recommendation — it is what the price implies. Check the current number before 10:10 PM ET and decide from there.
How To Read Tonight's NBA Numbers
Basketball spreads are efficient and basketball totals are less so, and the reason is that a total is a statement about pace as much as about quality.
- Start with possessions. Two teams that play fast produce a high total even when neither is good. The pace and totals guide covers how to convert an expected possession count into a number.
- Read the schedule before the matchup. A back-to-back on the road at the end of a five-game trip is worth points, and the market prices it — but not always enough. See back-to-backs and rest and travel.
- Expect late movement. NBA injury news lands in the hour before tip-off and moves spreads several points. A number posted this morning is provisional in a way an NFL number is not.
- Blowout risk cuts both ways. A team up thirty rests its starters, which is why large spreads and high totals interact in ways a naive model misses.
Where NBA Value Usually Hides
| Market | Efficiency | Worth attacking? |
|---|---|---|
| Game spread | Very high | Only with a schedule or news edge |
| Game total | Medium to high | Yes, on pace mismatches |
| First-half lines | Medium | Yes, when rest is the thesis |
| Player props | Low to medium | Yes — the best volume market |
| Live lines | Medium | Yes, with a plan set before tip |
| Same-game parlays | Poor value | Rarely |
Each of those has its own page — spreads, totals and props — and the props page is where a nightly slate produces the most repeatable work.
What Makes Tonight's Card
The bar is the same every night: our number on the game has to differ from the market's by more than the vig. On an eleven-game slate that produces three or four plays, not eleven, and a slate where nothing qualifies gets nothing.
Basketball's schedule structure means a disproportionate share of those plays come from spots rather than from opinions about teams — which is a good thing, because a spot is checkable in advance and an opinion is not. The record is published either way.

Before You Bet: The Guides Behind This Card
Nothing on this page beats knowing the mechanics cold. These are the evergreen guides the analysis above assumes, and they do not change when the slate does.
| Guide | What it settles |
|---|---|
| NBA pace and totals | Possessions, not points, drive a total. |
| NBA back-to-backs | What a second night is actually worth. |
| Rest and travel spots | The schedule edge the market underprices. |
| Injury report betting | How late news reprices a basketball game. |
| Point spreads explained | What the number on the board represents. |
| Player props explained | The softest market in basketball. |
| Live betting basics | Why in-game pricing lags in the NBA. |
| Closing line value | The only honest short-term scorecard. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the odds on this page still available to bet?
No. Every spread, total and price here is the market snapshot captured on November 6, 2026, the day this edition published. The games have been played and the numbers are a historical record. For the current board see nba picks today.
Why keep old editions online?
Because a service that deletes its old boards is asking to be taken on trust. Keeping each edition exactly as it published means the numbers we posted before the games can be checked against what happened after them, and the graded plays are totalled on the records page whether the month was good or bad.
Were the plays on this card graded?
Plays are graded once the games finish, and the result is shown on the card above — win, loss or push. A play still marked pending on an old edition is one that has not been settled yet; it is never removed. Past results do not predict future results.
